Montpellier Organoids Platform – POM

Launched in 2020, the organoïds shared resources facility is dedicated to 3D cell cultures (spheroïds, organoïds, tumoroïds and organs-on-a-chip). These multicellular models are derived from pluripotent stem cells (of animal – incl. human – or plant origin), that differentiate into different cell types which autoorganize.

A satellite platform specifically dedicated to cancer models was created in 2022 thanks to financial support from the Canceropole (GSO) and SIRIC Montpellier Cancer. This “organoids and cancer” platform is located at IRCM.
