{"id":33675,"date":"2026-01-19T16:34:47","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T15:34:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montpellier-cancer.com\/?p=33675"},"modified":"2026-01-20T09:34:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T08:34:16","slug":"inter-siric-project-montpellier-insitu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montpellier-cancer.com\/en\/inter-siric-project-montpellier-insitu\/","title":{"rendered":"Inter-SIRIC project : Montpellier &#038; InsiTu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-rte  mb-4 md:mb-8  bg-white p-3 md:p-6\">\n                        <div class=\"flex flex-col md:flex-row flex-wrap gap-2 md:gap-3 lg:gap-8\">\n          <div class=\"w-full\">\n            <div class=\"max-w-none prose \"><p>The SIRIC Montpellier Cancer and SIRIC InsiTu centers are collaborating on the inter-SIRIC project\u00a0M&amp;M\u2019s, dedicated to multi-scale MRI studies in mouse models of pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n<h3>\nWhat is the M&amp;M\u2019s project about?<\/h3>\n<p>The project aims to develop predictive markers of tumor progression using\u00a0quantitative MRI\u00a0that combines multiple imaging parameters, such as elastography to assess mechanical properties and diffusion imaging, in preclinical models of pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n<h3>\nWhat research work is being carried out?<\/h3>\n<p>The InsiTu teams are developing the pancreatic cancer model and performing the quantitative MRI acquisitions. SIRIC Montpellier Cancer is conducting histological analyses to interpret the functional MRI data. The collaborating teams are also establishing standardized methods to validate MRI parameters against histological markers.<\/p>\n<h3>\nFrom imaging to predictive markers<\/h3>\n<p>Quantitative MRI data are compared with histology to characterize tumors\u2014looking at features such as hypoxia, vascularization, and necrosis\u2014in order to build\u00a0multimodal predictive markers.
