Called <strong data-start=\"397\" data-end=\"464\">\u201cTackling challenges through international linked research hub\u201d<\/strong>, this experimental module is open to students from the partner universities and places <strong data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"580\">challenge-based learning<\/strong> at the heart of its approach.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"793\">Its goal: to mobilize international research networks to tackle real-world health issues, bringing together diverse disciplines, expertise, and innovative pedagogical practices.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"867\">An inaugural conference focused on the challenges of immunotherapy<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"1127\">The opening conference, <strong data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"971\">\u201cFrom Immune Activation to Toxicity: Challenges on Cancer Immunotherapies\u201d<\/strong>, took place on <strong data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1008\">24 September 2025<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1070\">IRCM (Institute of Cancer Research of Montpellier)<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1124\">SIRIC-3 Montpellier Cancer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1129\" data-end=\"1150\">The event gathered:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1236\">\n<li data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<p data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1166\">clinicians,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1183\">\n<p data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1183\">researchers,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1236\">\n<p data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1236\">and patient partners involved in SIRIC programs,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1475\">who engaged with an international and multidisciplinary group of students. Discussions highlighted the scientific, medical, and societal challenges linked to cancer immunotherapies, with a strong emphasis on translational perspectives.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1515\">Students guided by SIRIC mentors<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1517\" data-end=\"1803\">Guided by mentors affiliated with SIRIC, students will work in teams throughout the module to design their own <strong data-start=\"1628\" data-end=\"1691\">translational research proposals on colorectal cancer (CRC)<\/strong>. These projects are expected to foster collaboration across laboratories, disciplines, and clinical settings.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1805\" data-end=\"1849\">A public presentation in December 2025<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"2139\">The module will conclude with a <strong data-start=\"1883\" data-end=\"1959\">public presentation of the students\u2019 research proposals in December 2025<\/strong>. This final step will serve both as the culmination of their collaborative work within the Research Hubs and as a real-world exercise in developing scientific project proposals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
