Nadine Laguette and the work of her team “Molecular Bases of Inflammation” at the IGH has been awarded the CNRS Bronze Medal 2021.
The bronze medal rewards the first work of researchers specializing in their field. This distinction encourages researchers to continue their already fruitful research.
The “Molecular Bases of Inflammation” team studies the molecular mechanisms that regulate chronic inflammation and its pathophysiological consequences. The main models of study are: predisposition to cancer, pancreatic adenocarcinoma and retroviral infections. His work aims to identify the nature, biogenesis and regulation of pathological nucleic acids. This work is of crucial importance for the understanding of anti-viral, anti-tumour and more generally chronically inflamed diseases.
